Epoxy Resin Calculator
Estimate how much mixed epoxy resin and hardener your project needs. Enter your dimensions, pick a thickness, and we'll match you with the right GEEEKART kit.
How we calculate
Length × Width × Thickness = Volume
π × (Diameter ÷ 2)² × Thickness = Volume
The result is the combined resin + hardener amount after mixing, including your waste allowance. Example: a 24" × 18" flood coat at 1/8" is ≈ 54 in³ ≈ 0.89 L before waste.
Thickness guide
| Depth | Best for |
|---|---|
| 1/16" | Seal coats & very thin art coats |
| 1/8" | Tabletop flood coats |
| 1/4" | Trays, coasters, shallow molds |
| 1/2" | Small castings |
| 1"+ | Deep pours, river tables, encapsulating |
Pour like a pro
- Seal porous wood with a thin coat first to reduce bubbles.
- Measure A/B exactly per the ratio printed on your kit.
- Add 5–15% extra for mixing loss and edge soak-in.
- Work at stable room temperature; mix only what you can pour within the working time.
- Pours over 1" should be split into layers per the kit's max depth.
